F5 CEO joins SysMech Advisory Board of Directors

SysMech today announces the addition of John McAdam to its Advisory Board as its Non-Executive Chairman. Currently CEO at S&P 500 listed F5 Networks, McAdam is an experienced leader, and also a board member at benchmarking and metrics company Apptio and analytics and visualisation firm Tableau.

McAdam brings a wealth of experience to SysMech, having grown revenue at F5 from $108.6 million in 2000, to more than $1.7 billion last fiscal year. He joins the advisory board to help take SysMech to the next level of operational and commercial effectiveness.

SysMech works with leading mobile network providers, delivering big data applications for network visibility, monitoring and predictive control.  The ever increasing complexity of the Telco network and the range of products and services it offers means data volumes and management complexity continue to rise exponentially.

“John is a visionary leader with a proven track record in empowering and growing the very strongest businesses,” says SysMech CEO Rob Green. “SysMech is entering an era where CSPs are looking to apply network wide big data solutions to help them improve network operations and customer experience while also growing revenue streams steadily. We’ve got the technology to do it, and we’re excited to combine this with John’s wealth of experience in helping software firms capitalise on our market opportunities for growth.”

McAdam joins at a pivotal time for SysMech, who reported a record Q1, and revenues for the first half of the year exceeding the full year for 2014. SysMech has also recently made several key executive and operational appointments to both the development and sales and marketing teams, focusing on both product development and increasing engagement with customers.

“SysMech is uniquely positioned offering end-to-end products built from industry leading technology and its own IP, making them a one-stop shop for CSPs looking to solve large scale real time network analytics problems,” says McAdam. “The Zen product suite offers a solution to this new paradigm, and the company culture is well aligned with its ambitious plans for growth. This is a great opportunity to help a strong British SME grow into a global brand.”

McAdam’s track record speaks for itself. On top of record growth, and an S&P listing, F5 has also expanded into several new markets and acquired numerous new companies to extend its technology base.

“John brings to the SysMech advisory board a long history of strategic vision, as well as hands on operational experience in transforming technology companies, which will help as we continue to grow our customer base globally,” says Andy Stubley, VP of Sales and Marketing.
