The SysMech 2016 Roundup – our top 5 successes of the past 12 months

With 2017 just around the corner, we take a look back on 2016 at SysMech. It has undoubtedly been a busy 12 months, with new customers, new version releases and plenty of travel across Europe, Africa and Asia. In this blog we recall out top 5 successes this year and look ahead to the next 12 months

1Telefonica selects Zen for performance management

In October we were extremely proud to announce that the UK’s second largest operator, Telefonica had selected Zen for its end-to-end network performance management. In a recent press release, Richard Benjamins, Network Performance Manager at Telefonica said of Zen;

“Zen is the first system that gives us a single, consolidated view of our network landscape, bringing in new data from multiple sources. From a future proof perspective, it’s effectively making the network stronger, better and faster for new and existing customers.”

Zen will look at the performance of the network across all vendors and technologies in order to identify and resolve areas of poor performance quickly. Read the full press release on our blog.

2 – We become ISO 9001 certified

Earlier this year, SysMech achieved ISO 9001 certification. This achievement is a testament to our ability to provide consistent high quality products and services to the telecommunications industry. Setting out the criteria of a good quality management system, the ISO 9001 standard ensures a strong customer focus, a highly motivated management team, and processes which drive continual improvement. Find out more in the ISO 9001 news release.

3 – Vodafone Ireland shared their Zen story at 5G World

At this year’s 5G World we were pleased to be joined my Mick Mullen, Optimisation Manager at Vodafone Ireland. Presenting alongside our Head of Product, Mark Slinger, he shared the Vodafone Ireland journey with Zen, from 4G radio performance management to full end-to-end operational intelligence. If you missed the event, you can watch a full recording of the presentation on our website. This year we also published an in depth case study showing each stage of the Zen implementation at Vodafone Ireland. You can download the full Vodafone Ireland Case study from our resources hub, which includes a selection of dashboards currently in use at Vodafone Ireland.

4 – The launch of Zen 6

Another key achievement in 2016 was the launch of Zen 6. This version of our end-to-end analytics software introduced new features including advanced customer experience analysis and new fault handling functionality. A number of key customers are already benefiting from the Zen 6 upgrade, with more scheduled in the new year. Download the Zen overview brochure to read more about all the new features of Zen 6.

5 – SysMech exhibited in Asia for the first time

As we expand into Asia, 2016 saw our first exhibition in the region at the 5G Asia Summit. As well as exhibiting at the event, our Head of Product, Mark Slinger joined the discussion on a panel entitled; ‘What role will data analytics play in the connected device ecosystem?’ You can read a roundup of the 5G Asia panel session on our blog.
