Barcelona Bound for BBTM & The Telco Big Data Summit

SysMech are looking forward to attending and speaking at the Broadband Traffic Management Event and the Telco Big Data Summit, co-located at the Hotel Fira Palace, on November 11th-13th, in Barcelona.

Stop by our stand (#8) to see a demo of our innovative Unified Service Assurance solution, based on our Big Data Analytics Family of products for telecoms and capable of managing all the complexities of modern end to end networks. We’ll be demonstrating how our solution enables the integration of data of any type, from any place (RAN, Small Cells, Core, Transmission, Fixed, VAS and IT systems) into one place, enabling end to end network visualisation, predictive analytics and real-time alarming and automation.

On Thursday, November 13th at 16:15, we’ll also be presenting “Measuring Customer Experience through Effective RAN Management.” SysMech’s René Tonon will discuss how combining new technologies can help operators measure customer experience. During his talk, he’ll be addressing points such as:

  • Combining resources faults and performance measurements to improve the time to repair
  • Identification of specific customer issues using call trace and performance measurements
  • Automation of remedial actions
  • Predictive analytics to improve customer experience

Talk of the Town

Big Data technology applies to telecommunications in many ways, and delivers as many business benefits as it does operational. This is the theme behind the panels at the Telco Big Data Summit, where we’re looking forward to some panel discussions in particular, including the 09:00 kick off session on November 12th, “The Role of Analytics in Maximising Telco’s Opportunity”, where panellists such as Richard Benjamins of Telefonica will explain how analytics can stretch beyond network data and network monitoring, affecting other domains of a telco business.

On November 13th, we’ll be attending the 09:00 morning kickoff session “The Impact of NFV and SDN on Broadband Traffic Management”, where Roberto Minerva of Telecom Italia will discuss how these technologies might impact network policies.

That same day, we’ll also be attending the 12:50 discussion “Predictions of Network Performance & Ensuring Optimal Quality of Service”, where Hrvoje Jerkovic of Vipnet will discuss how data analytics provides an informed view on traffic projections.

The 14:50 panel “Business Intelligence in an Era of Big Data,” also looks very interesting. Amongst other panellists, Ahmed Saady Yaamin will speaking, focusing on how Robi Axiata use data to plan RAN sites in Bangladesh, identifying current gaps.

That same day, we’ll also be sat in to listen to the 16:00 panel discussion “Monetising Data on the RAN with Geo Analytics”, where Orcun Uzun will discuss how Turkcell use geo-marketing to monetise collected data.

If you are attending and would like to discuss your big data and network management requirements, get in touch today and we’ll arrange a time to meet at the show.
